Uses
Nobody asks me for the tools I use but Since every big developer has a page like this, I figured I should too.
Workstation
13” MacBook Air, M1, Base Variant (2021)
I was using a HP Laptop with Hackintosh/Linux for years and it was great. But I wanted to learn SwiftUI so, I switched to a MacBook Air. I really enjoy the smaller form factor.
Pixel 7
I decided to switch to Android, after 4 years of using iPhone. I'm getting used to it.
iPhone 11
This is my old phone. I use it for testing my apps. Still snappy and fast but lacks 5G.
Airpods Pro
I’ve been using Sennheiser headphones for years but I’m really enjoying the Airpods Pro. The noise cancellation is really good on these.
Development tools
VS Code
I’ve been using VS Code for years and I’m still not sure what I’d use if I switched. It’s just so good.
iTerm2
First thing I install on a new Mac. I also tried Fig, Warp. iTerm still beats them all.
TablePlus
Great software for working with databases. Has saved me from building about a thousand admin interfaces for my various projects over the years.
Insomnia
I really like the Insomnia over Postman. I hate webviews and Insomnia feels a lot more native. Personal preference.
Fork
I was using Tower for years but Fork is a lot faster and free.
MiniSim
Handy tool for quickly launching Android and iOS simulators.
Xcode
I started learning SwiftUI. So, Xcode is mentioned here.
Productivity
Raycast
I’ve been using Alfred for years but Raycast is a lot faster and has a lot more features. The extensions in particular are really nice.
